Why Run Your Own Web Server?

  • No hidden costs
  • No storage limit
  • Uptime is typically 99%
  • Easily access your own files

For the last three years we have been running BarracudaDrive as a test on a Mac Mini. The Mac Mini is connected to the Internet via a standard DSL connection. During this test period we have had zero downtime. It is a myth that one cannot run a web server successfully on a home internet connection.

Running your own server is great for sites with less than 1000 visitors a day. Most sites get less than 50.

Includes a free license valid til August 2010.
